GM: Just want to get a quick check on what types of adventures people prefer. I like both city-type adventures and dungeon crawls and was planning to do a mix but I will weight it towards the majority preference. I've found that interaction with interesting NPC's makes for some of the greatest fun in PBEM (e.g., the interaction at the scientific outpost in the Ghosts of Blight game) so even the dungeon crawl adventures will probably include some interaction.
STEVE G (Harlan): I'd say an even mix of overland, dungeon crawl and towns would make for a good combo.
MARTY (Darius): I like a good mix honestly. Darius' character is a bit more deep than some of my others so having more interaction is good for him.
CHRISTOPHER (Nyk): I like a mix. It gives everyone a chance to shine and to experience new things as a character.
KEITH (Derrick): Hmmm. I guess right now I prefer dungeon crawls a bit more than interpersonal, simply because I have been overloaded with interpersonal stuff of late in comparison. I'm sure if I had been doing tons of dungeon crawling in recent months that I would love a break from that and more interpersonal interaction.
JASON (Arek): I'm up for either actually. Probably a blend of both. Definitely not just one or the other.
DENNIS (Navar): For adventure styles I have always enjoyed exploration games.
SAMUEL (Ruaidhri): I made this character to be more of a city/town guy, and that's what I like to play with thieves. That said, I don't mind dungeon-crawling as long as everyone doesn't get the whole, "Hey, thief, check this hallway for traps" bit going. I hate that. So, if you're polling, cast my 10 delegates in this way: 6 for City/Town, 3 for Dungeon-crawl, 1 for wilderness.
JOE (Philyra): From the description I was expecting primarily city adventures, at least to start with.
JOE (Philyra): Not that I'm very good with those. But you're right about memorable NPC's. I still remember the aged gargoyle with glasses that was the leader of a tribe of gargoyles. The GM (a far better actor than I) even brought in a set of reading glasses to play those encounters
JOE (Philyra): I'd prefer dungeon crawls and some wilderness encounters for the two nature fanatics (Philyra and Nyk). But first I'd like to retreive/ replace our equipment! I can see where that would take some doing... |
