About the cover model:

Jane Fonda is an American actress, writer, political activist, former fashion model, and fitness guru. Born on December 21, 1937, in New York City, she is the daughter of Henry Fonda, a renowned actor, and Frances Ford Seymour. Fonda has been a prominent figure in the entertainment industry since the 1960s, with a career that spans over six decades.
Fonda made her Broadway debut in 1960 in the play "There Was a Little Girl," for which she received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress. Her film debut came in 1960 with "Tall Story," marking the beginning of a highly successful film career. She achieved critical acclaim and commercial success in films such as "Klute" (1971) and "Coming Home" (1978), both of which earned her Academy Awards for Best Actress. Other notable films include "Barbarella" (1968), "The China Syndrome" (1979), "On Golden Pond" (1981), and "9 to 5" (1980).
Beyond her acting career, Fonda has been an outspoken critic of U.S. military policy and an advocate for environmental causes, women's rights, and social justice. She was a prominent opponent of the Vietnam War in the 1970s, an activism that included a controversial visit to Hanoi in 1972, which earned her the nickname "Hanoi Jane."
In the 1980s, Fonda launched a series of aerobic exercise videos, which were hugely popular and played a key role in the fitness boom of the era. These videos also helped to establish her as a fitness guru.
Fonda has continued to act in films and television into the 21st century, receiving critical acclaim for her roles in films like "The Butler" (2013) and the Netflix series "Grace and Frankie" (2015-2022), where she stars alongside Lily Tomlin. She has also been involved in climate change activism, founding the organization Fire Drill Fridays in 2019 to demand action to address climate change.
Throughout her life, Fonda has been married three times, including to French film director Roger Vadim, activist Tom Hayden, and media mogul Ted Turner. She has written several books, including her autobiography "My Life So Far."
Jane Fonda's career and activism have made her a controversial and compelling figure, admired by many for her talent and commitment to various causes, while also criticized by others for some of her more polarizing political stances.
