About the cover modeL:
Lori Loughlin is an American actress and producer known for her role as Rebecca Donaldson-Katsopolis on the ABC sitcom "Full House" and its Netflix sequel "Fuller House." Born on July 28, 1964, in Queens, New York, Loughlin began her acting career at a young age, appearing in national print advertisements and commercials before moving on to television and film.
Loughlin's acting career took off in the early 1980s with her role in the soap opera "The Edge of Night." Her breakout role came in 1988 when she joined the cast of "Full House," where she became a household name for her portrayal of Aunt Becky, the love interest of John Stamos's character, Uncle Jesse. The show was a significant success and ran until 1995. After "Full House," Loughlin appeared in various TV shows and movies, including "Hudson Street," "Summerland" (which she also co-created and produced), and the rebooted "90210" series.
Aside from her television work, Loughlin has appeared in several films, including "The New Kids," "Secret Admirer," and "Rad." She also became a regular in the Hallmark Channel universe, starring in the "Garage Sale Mystery" film series and the drama series "When Calls the Heart."
However, Lori Loughlin's career faced a significant setback in 2019 due to her involvement in the college admissions bribery scandal, also known as Operation Varsity Blues. Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, were accused of paying $500,000 in bribes to facilitate the admission of their two daughters to the University of Southern California under the guise of being recruits for the crew team, despite neither daughter participating in the sport. The scandal led to charges of fraud and money laundering against Loughlin and Giannulli. In May 2020, Loughlin pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges and was sentenced to two months in prison, a $150,000 fine, two years of supervised release, and 100 hours of community service. She served her sentence and was released in December 2020.
The scandal had a profound impact on Loughlin's career, leading to her being dropped from projects and losing her roles on "When Calls the Heart" and "Fuller House." Since completing her sentence, Loughlin has been slowly making a return to acting, looking to rebuild her career and public image.
