****About the cover model******

Kate Spade was an American fashion designer and entrepreneur known for her stylish and iconic handbag designs. She was born Katherine Noel Brosnahan on December 24, 1962, in Kansas City, Missouri. Spade graduated from Arizona State University in 1985 with a degree in journalism. After college, she moved to New York City, where she worked in the accessories department at Mademoiselle magazine.
In 1993, frustrated by the lack of stylish, affordable handbags, Kate Spade decided to design her own. She launched her own brand, Kate Spade New York, with Andy Spade, her husband, using their combined savings. The brand initially started with just six handbag designs but quickly expanded to include clothing, jewelry, shoes, stationery, eyewear, baby items, fragrances, and gifts. Kate Spade's designs were known for their clean lines, pops of color, and graphic prints, all of which combined to create a look that was both sophisticated and accessible.
Kate Spade New York quickly grew into a global lifestyle brand, becoming synonymous with a certain preppy, Upper East Side chic. The brand's aesthetic was often described as modern, with an emphasis on color and playful designs. Despite its upscale image, Kate Spade products were priced to be accessible to a broad audience, which was part of its widespread appeal.
In 1999, Kate and Andy Spade sold a 56% stake of their company to Neiman Marcus Group, and in 2006, they sold the rest of their shares and left the company. Kate Spade took time off to focus on raising her daughter but returned to the fashion world in 2016 with a new accessories brand called Frances Valentine, named after her daughter.
Tragically, Kate Spade died by suicide on June 5, 2018, in her New York City apartment. Her death brought attention to mental health issues and the pressures faced by successful individuals in the fashion industry and beyond. Kate Spade's legacy lives on through her brand, which continues to thrive and honor her vision of stylish, functional, and accessible fashion.

*************About the cover model******************
Anthony Bourdain was an influential American chef, author, and television personality who became renowned for his profound impact on the culinary world and his exploration of international culture, cuisine, and the human condition. Born on June 25, 1956, in New York City, and raised in Leonia, New Jersey, Bourdain developed an interest in food and cultures from an early age, partly due to his family's frequent travels to France.
Bourdain graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in 1978, which launched his career in the kitchens of various restaurants in New York City. He rose to prominence as the executive chef at Brasserie Les Halles, a position that helped him gain recognition in the culinary scene.
However, it was his writing that catapulted him into fame. In 2000, Bourdain published "Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly," a book that offered an unvarnished look at the restaurant world's underbelly, filled with insights from his own experiences. The book became a bestseller and established Bourdain as a candid, insightful, and often irreverent commentator on the culinary and cultural landscapes.
Following the success of "Kitchen Confidential," Bourdain's career expanded into television. He hosted several travel and food series, most notably "A Cook's Tour" on the Food Network, "Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations" and "The Layover" on the Travel Channel, and "Parts Unknown" on CNN. Through these shows, Bourdain became known for his deep appreciation of global cultures, keen observations on social issues, and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life through food. His storytelling was marked by a unique blend of sincerity, wit, and empathy.
Beyond television, Bourdain continued to write. He authored several books, including cookbooks, memoirs, and essays, contributing to various publications and supporting young chefs and writers.
Bourdain's influence extended beyond culinary arts; he became a cultural icon who advocated for social justice issues, including workers' rights in the restaurant industry and global socio-political awareness. His open-minded approach to exploring the world, combined with his advocacy for authenticity and understanding, earned him respect and admiration from fans worldwide.
Tragically, Anthony Bourdain died by suicide on June 8, 2018, in Kaysersberg-Vignoble, France, while working on an episode of "Parts Unknown." His death shocked and saddened fans around the world, leaving a void in the culinary and cultural landscapes he had so passionately explored. Bourdain's legacy lives on through his work, which continues to inspire curiosity, openness, and a deeper appreciation of the world's vast culinary and cultural diversity.
