Jennifer Garner is an American actress and producer, born on April 17, 1972, in Houston, Texas, and raised in Charleston, West Virginia. Garner gained recognition for her performance as CIA officer Sydney Bristow in the ABC spy-action thriller "Alias," which aired from 2001 to 2006. Her role in "Alias" earned her a Golden Globe Award and a SAG Award, as well as four Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
Before her breakthrough in "Alias," Garner had guest roles on television and minor roles in films. She made her screen debut in the made-for-television movie "Zoya" in 1995. Garner's film career took off in the early 2000s with roles in "Pearl Harbor" (2001) and "Catch Me If You Can" (2002).
