John David Washington is an American actor and former professional football player. He was born on July 28, 1984, in Los Angeles, California. He is the son of actor Denzel Washington and singer/actress Pauletta Washington. John David gained recognition for his role in the HBO series "Ballers" (2015-2019), where he played the character Ricky Jerret.
He made a significant impact with his performance in the film "BlacKkKlansman" (2018), directed by Spike Lee, which earned him critical acclaim and several award nominations.
