Felicity Huffman is an American actress born on December 9, 1962, in Bedford, New York. She is best known for her role as Lynette Scavo in the ABC TV series "Desperate Housewives" (2004–2012), for which she earned an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and three Screen Actors Guild Awards. Huffman's performance in "Desperate Housewives" was critically acclaimed, and the show itself was a significant success, becoming a cultural phenomenon and receiving numerous awards.
Before her breakout role in "Desperate Housewives," Huffman had already established herself as a talented actress in both film and theater.
