Felicity Huffman is an American actress born on December 9, 1962, in Bedford, New York. She is best known for her role as Lynette Scavo in the ABC TV series "Desperate Housewives" (2004–2012), for which she earned an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and three Screen Actors Guild Awards. Huffman's performance in "Desperate Housewives" was critically acclaimed, and the show itself was a significant success, becoming a cultural phenomenon and receiving numerous awards.
Before her breakout role in "Desperate Housewives," Huffman had already established herself as a talented actress in both film and theater. She is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Felicity Huffman is married to actor William H. Macy, with whom she has two daughters. The couple has collaborated on various projects and remains a prominent duo in Hollywood.
