Eddie Lacy is a former professional American football player known for his time as a running back in the NFL. Born on June 2, 1990, in Gretna, Louisiana, Lacy played college football at the University of Alabama, where he was part of a team that won three BCS National Championships.
Lacy was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He had a standout rookie season, earning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors and being selected to the Pro Bowl. Known for his powerful running style, Lacy was effective in both rushing and receiving out of the backfield.
However, Lacy's career was hindered by injuries and issues with maintaining his playing weight. After four seasons with the Packers, he signed with the Seattle Seahawks in 2017. His performance with the Seahawks was limited, and he struggled to recapture the form he showed earlier in his career.
